In 1948, Fred Hill with his wife Lois, founded Hill TV and Radio Limited. By 1950, the company was suitably poised and took full advantage when TV exploded on the scene. In 1954, Hill's received recognition from the RCA Corporation for the world's first order for a colour TV. From the beginning, it was Fred Hill's conviction that a successful sales organization must be supported by a strong, competent service department - and now more than 50 years later - though the company has diversified and grown with the times - that concept remains an integral part of Hill's business philosophy, carried on by his sons, Dave, Rob and Don.
